‘TINA TURNER:’ DION CULBERSON | LOCATION: DALLAS STATLER HILTON, COMMERCE STREET AT SAINT PAUL STREET PRODUCTION DATES: APRIL 19, 2010 + MAY 4, 2010 | PHOTO: BRYAN AMANN | DIRECTION: DANIEL KUSNER
“214 Trans4m” is a photo exhibit by the creative team of Daniel Kusner and Bryan Amann that gorgeously combines transgender models with Dallas history, architecture, and stereotypes.

Among the photos:
Obsession Omega as Tina Turner leaving Ike at the Statler Hilton; James Love as Mary Kay Ash, representing revolutionary entrepreneurism; Frankyee Popovich as Marina Oswald leaving the Neely Street duplex after photographing her husband, Lee Harvey; and Aaron Ballinger channeling Jackie Kennedy’s impervious reaction to a polarizing ad that ran in The Dallas Morning News on that fateful day in 1963.

The show runs through May 20 at the Kessler X+ Gallery in Dallas, it’s a must-see if you’re in the area.

And I’m thinking the artists should do ALL the major cities.

I’d love to see what they come up with for LA.
